Sixty Years of Faithfulness, Love & Light
She is generous where others are guarded, steady where others waver, and radiant in every room she enters.
Sixty years is not just a number. It is a testimony β the sum of countless prayers answered, lives touched, and a legacy still growing. We celebrate not only the years she has lived, but the light she has been.

My favourite memories of Nike.
Nike and I have been friends since secondary school form one. One of my favourite memories of her amongst the many we have shared is how back then we used to take the train from Lagos to Bida, the school would arrange a private coach for us so we didn't have to mix with the public, but people would always try to get into our coach cause there was always space. To avoid that, we would lock the coach. I got in from Iddo terminus which was where the trip started from and Nike usually got in from Agege station and sometimes she would have to climb in through the window (she was quite tiny then π) and while some of us will be helping to pull her in, others will be getting her luggage through another window. We always sat together and would spend all day talking about how our holiday went before falling asleep. I used to look forward to the trip and seeing her.
Also when my family moved from Surulere to Ogba, Lagos, just as we were leaving Bida, during the school holidays, Nike and I met up practically everyday, we would spend most of the day together at the end of which we saw each other home but ended going back and forth gisting all the way until we got tired and eventually agreed on a half way point to part ways until we met up again. There were no mobile phones back then as that might have helped. π
I remember when I moved to the UK to do my Masters degree or so I thought in the mid 90s and stayed with her and Yomi, back then it was just Ayomide, we had so much fun. Nike has always been a loving and caring friend, always very supportive. I remember her coming to bathe my son when I had him, I had absolutely no clue. I always tell her she missed her calling, she should have been a doctor as she serves as our resident doctor, Nike will always have a remedy for your sickness and if she didn't, she will research it and come up with one and they did work π
I remember years ago when I had an accident, as soon as she heard, she got on the train with food stuff that she bought to come and cook soup for me and my family, all the way to West London carrying yam and raw meat on the train just to ensure my family was okay. I can go on with many stories, the funky NikkyG, always looking dapper ππ½, Iya oge, but time will not permit.
Nike on this your Diamond Jubilee, Anike, NikkyG, aya Georgie, I pray the Lord Almighty will rend the heavens and pour out His love and blessings upon you, you will enjoy the fruits of your labour, your husband and children will call you blessed, your children, their children and their children's children will surround your table, with long life, good health and a sound mind will God honour you, anointing you afresh daily to do His work in Jesus name (Amen). Happy 60th Birthday Oremi, love you loads π₯°β€οΈ

Happy 60th Birthday To My Adorable Sister β My True Diamond. π
Sixty years of a life lived with such grace, strength, and quiet brilliance. You are truly a rare gem in every sense of the word. Your attention to the smallest details, the way you notice when someone isn't quite okay, and the care you pour into each and every one of us is something I will always admire.
You have never just been a sister to us, particularly me β but you have been a protector, a guide, and often a mother figure to all of us. Your sacrifices have never gone unnoticed. Even when you carry so much on your own shoulders, you still find the strength to worry about everyone else, especially when I'm not doing well. That kind of love is priceless.
Your medical prowess and dedication to helping others is another reflection of who you are at your core β you're compassionate, skilled, and deeply committed in everything you do and to making lives better. So many people have been blessed by your knowledge, your steady hands, and your caring heart.
And of course, we can never forget your wonderful sense of style! Your love for fashion, your elegance, and the way you carry yourself with such confidence, grace, strength, poise and attention to details have always made you stand out. You remind us that strength and compassion can walk hand in hand with beauty and style.
Today we celebrate not just your 60 years, but the countless lives you've touched, the love you've given so freely, and the incredible woman you are. You are truly our family's diamond β rare, precious, and irreplaceable.
May this Diamond Jubilee year bring you the same care, love, and joy that you have given to all of us throughout your life.
Where do I start from? Firstly, let me congratulate you on your Platinum birthday. Happy birthday to an amazing sister, mother, wife, niece and auntie to many.
I have known you for 45 years at Federal Government Girls College Bida, Niger State, Nigeria. You were my senior with a swagger, a fashionista. You were the leader of our Yoruba cultural group back in Bida. Wahoo!! Sis Nike aka Anicky G, you know how to coordinate us back then. You and your bestie, sister Ronke Oluokun, took great care of me. I am one of your special junior sisters then and till date.
I was glad to serve alongside you as the assistant social secretary of our great Alumni here in the UK. You are kind and a leader with true passion. Sister Nike, you know how to bring us together. You are a woman of peace. No dull moments with you oh.
I was glad that you are now sailing the boat of our Alumni as the President. You bring people together with love. You are selfless and kind. We have had so many meetings in your house and oh no, I always go home with takeaway. Don't mind me jare.

Adenike Aderonke β ore mi toto. You are a rare gem, a woman of grace, a generous spirit, my fashionista with a beautifully kind heart.
You are my soulmate, confidante, gist partner and my Besto. I thank God for the day we met β almost five decades ago β and since then our friendship has grown stronger. We have been there for each other through the challenges of life, held each other's hands, wiped our tears together, and shared the deeper intimate things of our lives, which we have both overcome to the glory of God.
I thank you, my Anike, for your love, understanding, trust, advice and guidance throughout the years. When I am in the dark, your words of encouragement shine light into my path to navigate the storms of life.
I pray that as you celebrate 60 years of God's faithfulness, may the oil of grace over your head continue to flow without dryness. Congratulations on reaching this Significant Age Nikky (Ojuloge). We've been friends for not so long β it's just about half a century, if the memory is still correct, and I remember. We have had great times together. We give glory to the Lord for the gift of life and we do not take this for granted.
We jollied together in our formative years in Bida my dear Block C mate. Nikky, the cultural dancer. Oh, lah! lah! We all left school and went into the world and fate reconnected us again. It's been wonderful and the Lord has been good to us. We glorify His name. Grateful for every moment we've shared and excited for many more years of cherished memories together.
Ojuloge, Cheers to your 60th Birthday Filled with New Excitements, Cherished Moments, and Passion for Life like never before.

Happy Diamond Birthday, Nike. Looking back over the last 30 years, I am so grateful for the vision our mothers had when they first introduced us. What started as their hope for 'cordiality' has blossomed into a bond I can only describe as true sisterhood.
From walking through the deepest valleys of loss to standing on the mountaintops of our children's milestones, your presence has been a constant gift. Our shared faith in Christ has been the anchor through it all β turning friends into family and memories into a legacy.
I thank God for the gift of you. I thank God for the grace that has sustained our sisterhood for over three decades. May He continue to bless you, protect you, and shine His light upon your path. May the bond between our families remain strong, and may our children continue to see His faithfulness through our lives. Amen.
"A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity." β Proverbs 17:17
My mother is one of the most generous, loving, caring and most amazing women I have ever met. The way she can radiate in any room is something to behold.
One of the most memorable things about her is her unwavering support and encouragement. At times when I needed reassurance or direction, she always showed up with wisdom and genuine care.
I also admire her strength and resilience. She carries herself with grace even in challenging situations, and that has been very inspiring to witness.
My gist partner. My lawyer. My pharmacist. My laughing buddy! I pray as you enter this new season may God continue to bless you.
Happy birthday Mummy!
60 years of grace, calm and clarity.
You are the foundation of so much of who I am, especially when things feel uncertain β you have a way of making everything feel more manageable without making it seem like a big deal.
You continually show up with wisdom, with care, and with a standard that has pushed me to not only be better but make better for myself.
60 is not just a milestone β it's a reflection of your life lived with purpose, sacrifice, and impact. I hope you feel proud, because you've built something lasting.
Dearest mother, your hands have held more love than words,
Your heart has known my joys, my hurts.
You are the quiet strength in every day,
The steady light that shows my way.
In tired moments, you never fail
To lift me up, to help me sail.
Through all my years, through right and wrong,
You've been my home, my lifelong song.
It's all my love, wrapped and true β
Everything I am, I owe to you.
Sis Nike is a wonderful sister in so many ways and has been a great pillar to me. Honestly, there are so many β or I should say countless β ways she has been a great support system.
Growing up, she used to buy all my school supplies from undies to school bag to stationery etc. She is such a reliable sister, if I need someone to help buy an item and do not want any complaints, Nikky G was my go to person. She will treat any errand as a project and she would always deliver.
She sorted all my wedding accessories without leaving any detail behind. Every detail was paid attention to. I'm not sure I have ever thanked her enough. When I had the twins, she did my maternity shopping to the last detail β in fact, nobody would have done a better job of it.
Good health is very paramount for Sis, she would check on you from time to time and give health advises to the best of her knowledge, would even go extra mile to research and get back to you on possible solutions and won't stop there, she would follow up from time to time to check on me.
OMG! I can continue counting and I won't be able to stop in 48hrs β but for the sake of the instructions given, the countless medical advises and push to make life better for me? Nikky G!!! you have been a great sister indeed and I am grateful for it. I'm using this opportunity to say THANK YOU for always being supportive, reliable, dependable, caring, great shield, generous, kind and a great source of inspiration. Adenike George you are a true inspiration to me. May you continue to live a happy life in great health and sound mind. I love you more than words can say. Happy 60th Birthday. πππβ€οΈπ₯π₯°π«Άπ»
"Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."
Proverbs 31 : 28 β 29
There are many things I could say about my mum, but one of the greatest is this: she has always wanted to love us well.
She has never just been interested in being called "Mum"; she has truly laboured to be one. In her own way, through every season, she has consistently given of herself so that we could grow, become, and stand strong. She has listened, she has stretched, she has carried, and she has outdone herself time and time again in her desire to be the best mother she could be to us.
What I appreciate deeply is that she has given us space β space to grow, space to learn, space to become the best of who we are. That is a gift. Not every parent knows how to love with both care and room to breathe, but she has done that with strength, grace, and intention.
More than anything, I thank her for introducing us to God. That foundation is the greatest gift of all. Long before we understood life for ourselves, she was sowing something deeper into us β faith, prayer, conviction, and the knowledge that God is real, present, and able to keep us. That inheritance is beyond measure.
Mum, thank you for your sacrifices, your consistency, your heart, and your love. Thank you for all the seen and unseen ways you have held things together. Thank you for choosing, again and again, to pour into your children and to want the very best for us.
Today, we honour you not just for what you have done, but for who you are: a woman of substance, strength, faith, and enduring love.
Happy 60th, Mum. You are deeply loved, deeply appreciated, and deeply honoured.
